Guitar Magic - classical and steel guitars

The Guitar Magic duo, formed in Spring 2008, is dedicated to performing an extensive range of original music and innovative arrangements for classical and acoustic steel guitars.

Their performances are an intuitive blend of improvisation and structure and seek to explore the thrilling sound textures of classical and steel string acoustic guitars.

Guitar Magic are:
Dan Vine (right) is a versatile musician specialising in guitar, piano and vocals. Dan has sung, played guitars and keyboards in a number of different bands, including, “LisaLife” who produced their first studio album "Turns Blue" in 2003.

Dan is also a talented composer, arranger and producer and has seen several commissioned works from arrangement through to finished recording. An accomplished electric guitarist, Dan is currently focussing on steel string acoustic playing and composition with “Guitar Magic".

Neville Cooper (left) is a classical guitarist who has performed as a soloist and in guitar ensembles for many years. He is a member of the “Conspiritas Jazz Trio” and “String Talk”, a poetry and music group and has a number of CDs to his credit. Neville is a published composer and has had music performed by leading guitar players in England and America. Neville’s current work with “Guitar Magic” aims to explore the fascinating potential of classical and steel string guitar music through arrangement, improvisation and performance.
