Visitors to the Hinckley ACT really get the blues!

Burbage Blues 2009It finally happened - Burbage Blues 2009 was an all-day event packed with Blues tips and tricks workshops, curry and an evening concert - all for £14!

A series of workshops covering blues tips, tricks and techniques featured some of the finest blues guitarist and harmonica players that the region has to offer.

Visitors listened, learned and joined in with what was some of the most fascinating and interactive sessions a blues musician could hope for!

Timetable for Burbage Blues 2009

Saturday 26th September

Dobro guitar at Hinckley ACT2.00pm - the first four workshops began.

4.00pm - the second group of four workshops.

6.00 - 7pm. Dinner was served with a choice of chicken or vegetable curry, supplied by one of Hinckley's finest purveyors of Indian cuisine.

7.00 - 11pm. The grand finale - the first ever Burbage Blues concert!

Booking and venue details

The entrance fee for the day was £14 and the event started at 2.00 pm, with doors opening at 1.30 p.m. 

The Hinckley ACT
Based in the Sketchley Meadows Business Park, Hinckley ACT is a high quality music venue that offers an informal and intimate atmosphere for concerts and for the monthly club nights, where musicians can come along  and ‘take the stage.’ 

Established by company chairman, Keith London, on the premises of his firm Advanced Carbide Tooling (A.C.T.), the venue provides full stage and seating facilities, plus top quality sound and lighting equipment.
