About Jack Lawrence

Jack Lawrence is heralded as one of the finest acoustic guitarists in the USA. Referred to as an "acoustic powerhouse," his musicianship on the flat top guitar has mesmerized audiences for decades.

Jack's style is eclectic, encompassing Americana, blues, bluegrass and "sophisticated folk." Jack is highly regarded in his most prominent role as partner to the legendary Doc Watson. The two musicians have traveled the country as a duo for the last two decades, delighting audiences from coast to coast. Jack also performs as a solo guitarist/vocalist in venues nationally and internationally.

About Richard Plank
Originally from London, first got into the acoustic guitar  & the American tradition, during the Folk Blues Revival of the 1960s  while at Art College. Known for his fingerstyle playing & singing, Richard has worked both solo & with a number of the UK’s leading American Folk musicians, including, most recently, fiddler Kate Lissauer and mandolin player Alan Ward.

In the last few years he has spent more  time travelling & playing in the southern states of the USA, while picking  up tips on how to do it right from guitar masters Doc Watson, Jack Lawrence  & Steve Kaufman.  In September 2009 he was the inaugural Listeners’ Club Award winner at UKCountryRadio.com for “Bully Of The Town” a track from his  latest CD “Going To The West”.
