Four for the price of one!
Wednesday 14th July brought four of the region's top local artist together in a feast of local folk - Steve Fitton, Rachael Ball, Paul Phillips & John Montague.
About Paul Phillips
Leicestershire-based singer-songwriter, Paul Phillips, performs a broad range of original material, from poignant sketches of human frailty to his own brand of modern Country and Western - rich on melody and always worth a listen.
Following his launch CD ‘Contradictions’ Paul is currently finalising a second album, ‘Endless War’ - a provocative set of songs stimulated by the past decade. Paul will be accompanied by John Montague, who produces all of Paul’s work. It promises to be a good session.
About Rachael Ball
Rachael described how she began to perform. "I used my love of music in my previous career working with Leicestershire charities. I recognised the therapeutic qualities of music and used it when working with young people with Cancer and later with a homeless charity.
"In the mid 90’s I began to take my love of singing more seriously and worked with a Coventry based musician on some original material. This culminated in the recording of a CD and a number of nerve racking performances around the local area.
"Since 2005 I have worked extensively as a professional singer around the Midlands. Alongside this I work as a session singer for various studios and more recently with a local company providing music for Sony Playstation."
